The Ondo State Security Network Agency, popularly known as the Amotekun Corps, is a state-backed security outfit established to protect lives, properties, farmlands, and communities across Ondo State. As an integral part of the South-West regional security architecture, Amotekun Corps was created to provide culturally grounded, community-driven, and highly responsive security services that complement existing law enforcement agencies.
We stand as the frontline defenders of the people—working tirelessly across every Local Government Area to prevent crime, maintain order, mediate conflicts, and uphold peace in both rural and urban communities.
Our Mandate
The Amotekun Corps operates strictly within the legal framework established by the Ondo State Security Network Agency Law, which empowers us to:
Combat armed robbery, kidnapping, cultism, and violent crimes.
Protect farmers, farmlands, crops, and community settlements from destruction caused by open grazing and trespass.
Prevent clashes between herders and farmers, ensuring peaceful coexistence.
Regulate and support livestock management practices to reduce environmental impact and enhance community safety.
Prevent, control, and manage the spread of diseases associated with livestock, and support policies that promote healthy livestock production.
Promote modern techniques of animal husbandry and livestock management.
Respond swiftly to distress calls, emergencies, and security threats within the state.
Apprehend and prosecute offenders directly in court in accordance with the provisions of the law.
Assist in intelligence gathering and surveillance operations across communities.
